Made in New Zealand from New Zealand Greenstone & Timber. **Please note the greenstone differs every time we get these in, at the moment they are darker with more flecks of black than our main photo shows*.
Refer to our second photo.
Engraving is done on the Taiaha shaft.
The Taiaha was traditionaly used in hand to hand combate, spear like in appearance, used for turning off opponents blows while piercing the abdomen.
This replica shows the combination of Greenstone and Carving often used in these weapons.
Size:
Taiaha 37.5 cm long x 3 cm wide at the widest end.
Greenstone blade 5.5cm long
Base: 37.5 cm long x 5 cm wide
Please note that the taiaha is the wrong way around in this photo. If you choose for it to be engraved it will be engraved with the greenstone pointing left.
